INSTRUCTOR PROFILE
Greetings: My name is Dr. Bulger and I will be the instructor of this Bioethics Course. I love the subject of bioethics as it addresses nearly every philosophical field of study. However, even more than philosophy, I love seeing students grasp abstract concepts for the very first time.
Education: My educational background makes me particularly suited for teaching such a broad and comprehensive course. I have a Bachelors of Science in Geology / Petroleum Engineering from the University of North Dakota, a M.A. in Exegetical Theology, another M.A. degree in Philosophy, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy with an extra concentration in Biomedical Ethics from the University of Tennessee—Knoxville.
Teaching: My teaching background makes me particularly suited for teaching this broad and comprehensive course in that I have many years of full-time philosophy teaching experience, have taught over 18 different types of diverse courses ranging from astronomy, to logic, from ancient philosophy to contemporary moral problems and I have earned the academic rank of “Full” Professor.
Scholarship: My scholarly qualifications makes me uniquely suited to teach this course as I am the author of MORAL PHILOSOPHY: A Theoretical and Practical Approach to Moral Decision-Making, the 8 volume series that is used for this course, and I am also the author of the structure, content and delivery presentation of this course.
Goal: This Bioethics course is an amazing course and in the end you will be seeing the world with a very different set of eyes.
So ENJOY the ride!
Respectfully,
Dr. Bulger
Professor of Philosophy
